Musea Kampa's Interactive Programs

Being an architect

Suitable for: secondary school

The rebuilding of Sova's Mills into current shape of the Kampa Museum was down to the cooperation of several leading Czech artists. The realization of the project itself was accompanied by endless struggles with Prague conservationists. What would Josef Schulz, the author of the Mills make of the new result? And what would it look like in case important 20th Century architects such as Le Corbusier, Frank O'Gehry, Josef Gočár or Jan Kaplický had taken part in the rebuilding process?

Students will experience how a meeting with these men would look like, learn about their different approaches to architecture and choose one of them to make a project for the reconstruction of Sova's Mills in the way they think this architect would have done it.

Let's order this!
