Contract between the Jan and Meda Mládek Foundation and the City of Prague

The contract was closed in order to fulfill the mutual intention of establishing Museum Kampa in the City of Prague, in which the
collection of artwork that the Mládeks amassed over a period of many years will be housed. The purpose of this contract was firstly, to
facilitate the completion of the technical aspects of the project and realize the reconstruction of the buildings, and further, to secure the
everyday operations of the newly reconstructed Sova´s Mills. The goal of the loan agreement was ensured by the usage of Sova´s Mills
as Museum Kampa, in which a permanent exhibition of the collections open to the public is kept. Filip Dvořák, the representative for the
City of Prague, and the chairwoman of the board of directors, Mrs. Meda Mládek, the representative for the Jan and Meda Mládek
Foundation, signed a Contract of Loan on the 16th of June, 1999 concerning the collection of buildings known as Sova´s Mills and their
reconstruction. The negotiating sides agreed, that the Foundation will maintain the art collection and the operations of Museum Kampa.
In relation to the aforementioned points, the following additional items were also agreed to within the terms of the contract:

1. The Contract of Donation, according to which, Mrs. Meda Mládek donates a collection of artworks to the City of Prague. The City of Prague will gain the right of ownership to the collection of art immediately following the signing of the documents of transfer of ownership, but no later than 30 days after permission is granted the ownership of the arworks will be transferred from the donator to the donee.

2. Contract of Loan, according to which the collection of artworks (the donation) will be at the disposal of the foundation free of cost.

The following artworks were donated to the City of Prague:

215 paintings and drawings by František Kupka, 240 collages and objects by Jiří Kolář, 279 artworks by Czech and Slovak authors from 1965 -1985 creating a combined total worth of 600 000 000 Czech crowns.
